About Child Sexual Abuse in Your Region
The Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence (SEMO-NASV) was formed in 1997. In its first year of operation the agency served 42 clients, and now provides services to almost 600 children a year. The outreach prevention education services reach more than 10,000 schoolchildren and almost 2,000 adults annually.
SEMO-NASV serves nine counties in southeast Missouri. The agency is both a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and an adult rape crisis center. The agency provides on-going training for law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare, juvenile and other human service providers regarding issues of child abuse.
