Holiday Greetings to our friends, family and child advocate supporters.
It is with a heart full of thanks and gratitude that I send this holiday letter to each and every one of you. Your kindness and generosity over the last 11 ½ years has made this agency a safe place for victims of child abuse to get quality care. Because of you kids have a place to come where they will be heard, where someone listens to them and helps them get past the horrible things that have happened to them. Because of you, child sexual abuse offenders are being prosecuted and taken off the streets.
I know at the holidays no one wants to think about children being abused and battered. I don’t like to think of it either, but it happens and we can’t just sit by and ignore it.
Please know that this year alone the agency has provided forensic medical care and counseling and advocacy to over 600 victims from southeast Missouri…and know that every penny donated stays right here.
As the holidays approach and you are busy making meals, buying gifts, visiting with family and friends, enjoying the season of love and peace and joy, take a few minutes to remember someone unknown and unseen to you, but someone who needs your love and kindness…that someone is a child.
In these tight economic times, if you have a few dollars you can share with someone, I respectfully ask you, once again, to share your gifts with the kids who come through the doors of SEMO-NASV.
